About Tingting Su

Tingting Su In 2002, Tingting Su was admitted to Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, one of the best colleges of art in China, where she majored in Ceramic Arts and Design. In Tsinghua, she expanded her knowledge on the history of Chinese art and foreign art, developed her skills on ceramic design as well as drawing, painting, paper cutting, and sculpture. She received her bachelor and master in fine arts in Tsinghua University.

As a designer, she has won many awards for her ceramic design including 3rd and 2nd prize in the 13th and 14th Chinese contemporary ceramic exhibition, honorable mention of household porcelain competition of Shandong province. Her designed products have been exhibited extensively in China and the United States, such as International Society for Ceramics Art Education Exchange, the 9th Contemporary Arts and Crafts Masterwork Exhibition and International Crafts Exhibition, and in the 46th NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) annual conference in Seattle. She was invited to join many design projects, such as the design the official souvenir of Tsinghua University Centenary Celebration, the Centenary-New live concept projects collaborated between Tsinghua University and China National Arts & Crafts (Group) corporation.

In 2010, her book The Illustrated History of Chinese Jewelry was published by Zhonghua Book Company, one of the best publishers in China, through which she enhanced her knowledge on the history of Chinese jewelry as well as the history of art evolution, and built a comprehensive understanding of art.

She moved to US in 2012 and continued her artistic exploration. Due to her broad interest and the love for life, her art work involves in various ways and forms of art and design express means, including ceramics, drawing, painting, paper cutting, and sculpture. Her art work reflects her thinking about the nature and human, the past, present and future, and the western and eastern culture.

In May 2015, her paintings were exhibited in Charity Art Gala in Asia Society in New York.Also in May 2015, she joined the Contemporary Art group exhibition of 6 artists in Artosino Gallery in New York. In August 2015, her paintings were exhibited in the Metuchen Public Library Gallery in New Jersey.. In September 2015, her painting was selected for the next round of competition in ArtPrize, the largest art competition, and exhibited in Grand Rapids, MI. She served as the chief designer for many conventions, forums, and associations, including The First North America Tsinghua Alumni Convention and New York Forum in August 2015, Clean Water Blue Sky Association in February 2016, CUAA Development Forum & Entrepreneurship Competition in March 2016.

In 2017, she was elected as the associate president of Tsinghua Alumni Associate of Greater New York area and awarded the Outstanding Contribution to the Tsinghua Alumni.

In August 2017, she curated the first Tsinghua Alumni Art Week in UN headquarters in New York, Artosino Gallery, and Princeton University. Forty-six artists from all over the world exhibited their artworks in this great event. This art week consisted of three events, Tsinghua Alumni Art Exhibition at the United Nations, 2017 Tsinghua Alumni Visual Arts Exhibition at Artosino Gallery, and Art Culture Lecture Series at Princeton University.
